Well, got to the track a little later then I wanted. 1st pass off the trailer I wasnt sure what to expect, never ran et streets, never ran the car at the track.....so I gave her heck! Good 2nd gear burnout.....launched somewhere between 4-5k and it hooked like a MOTHER! Wow thats amazing, 2nd gear came faster then I could have imagined, touched the limiter for a second then rowed through the rest.....WOW does the car sway bad in the top end running 275 radials up front and et streets in the rear. Well, full weight street trim save for the et streets car went 12.065 at 116.18 mph on a 1.69 60'!!!!! Who woulda thought, eibach sportlines and a suspension set up to do twisties would cut a 1.69! I was stoked and knew 11's were right there without a messed up 1-2 shift!

Well waited in line a little, and finally got to go again. I musta not left as hard only cut a 1.78 60' but when I hit 3rd the car started swaying so bad I had to let out of it, got back in it for a second and crossed with a 12.4 at 110.....it was kinda scary how much it was swaying up top.....sounds like I need to run drag radials or get some strip wheels/tires!

I went back to sit in line, but bu then the line was so long, I decided with how much the car was swaying up top and how long the line was, I wasnt going to wait in line agian, so loaded the car up and decided to watch some runs...good thing I did, because they had two breaks after that and were not letting people go to the staging lanes, it was crazy!

Great times, and I am hooked, but not sure when ill get back, but I know the 11's are right there for me! Maybe next time, Ill get my goal of an 11 second car that can cut corners or go straight haha

Congrats man! It was nice to meet you. It was definitely crazy up there last night. I only got 2 runs in myself while sitting in the staging lanes for 3 hrs between runs. My best was almost where I wanted it as well...just shy of my 12.99 w/ a 13.01.

Nice run, glad to see you were able to hook well with the springs you have... that's definitely impressive.

Thanks all. I have a video I am working on uploaded....I was running agaisnt a 69 Camaro....fig he would blow me away, but I didnt see him hardly until the end when I seen he was still beside me

Ninja...nice meeting you as well! Yeah, for the 1st time racing the car at the track on those tires, I had NO clue what to expect! I def. will get it down next time!

Burning-Thanks! I was super stoked when I seen what the 60's were. I think on my second pas it was 1.78 60' but when I watched the video I could tell I rode it out of the hole a little bit compared to the 1st run

Nice times! I guarantee the next time out you will be in the 11's. As for the swaying on the top end, you could get some cheap Summit racing skinny's for the fronts with a bias ply tire and that will minimize the swaying. Or you could go with an ET street radial instead of the ET streets.

Btw, with trap speed you have, I would guess the car could go as quick as 11.5-6's. Good luck!

Yeah I have the cobra brakes all the way around, so slapping a 15" skinny on the front requires a little work. I wish I could, but oh well. 1" spacer and some studs or I can spend some $$ on a 17x4" skinny and $$ 17" Front runners, but I will probably end up getting some MT drag radials for the rear for now to see what it does. Well see!

Congrats bro, that is not bad at all for the 1st pass ever. You should hit 11's no problem. I am in the same boat as you as far as front skinnys go, I have 13" brakes on both of the stangs. My car was swaying a bit up top too with the full slicks on the rear, but it was manageable. On the street driving to the track it was pretty scary though when I hit it 1 time & the car wanted to pull sideways...

Yeah I had the car on a trailer on the way down, so didnt get any type of 1st hand experience. I didnt think it would be bad going down the track, the 1st pass if you look hard you can see it moving in the video I uploaded. It swayed alot more then I fig. it would. Oh well, its decision making time now.....Move to 17x4" front runners or just out some 315 MT Drag radials on and hope it hooks which it should.....

Thanks, its all about tires. I have another guy around me with about the same power that only runs mid 12's at 118 mph, but then agian he was on street tires.....get some tire under the car and it will make a HUGE difference!
