The runs were way more consistent this time around. all of the runs was around 15.6 and under. the temp outside was 77 and humid, I was power braking to around 1800-1900 rpm( i couldnt give more or it would spin in place). I had my tire pressure droped to 26psi on 255/45/17 kumhos. I wouldnt pin of the line just shoot out of there. I thought i would run a 14.9 but i guess it just wasnt my day and it was kinda warm out side. The track i raced at was union grove( people say it isnt the best track out there, some even say u lose around 3 tenths there but i wouldnt think it could be that bad) . I couldnt ice down my car like last time i went, I just let the car sit for 15 min right after i got in from a 1hr and 15 min drive and let her rip. I kept running her consistently for around 15-20 min each run. the track had a incident so i had it on the side for around 35-50 min while we waited so i got some rest time. Do u guys think i should have improved alot more then this. I dont have a tune on the gears and converter becuase i dont really have hat many mod on my car so i didnt think it was worth it. My shifts feel a little softer, I cant chirp into my 2nd gear but wow does my launch feel so much better. how do u guys thin i could launch my car better or am i dong a good job.. I also wanted to add is my trap time any good i was thinking it shoulda went up to around 92mph. thanx alot for ur help guys. sorry for the really long post, I;m just trying to help some of u guys seeing wat gears and stuff can do and what is going on wit my car thanx.

Get yourself a set of asp aluminum pulleys and you will see 14's. You are running basically what I ran stock with my 5 speed (15.2 at 90mph), and with gears, exhaust, and bumped timing I ran a 14.96 at 91.5 which wasn't a very big jump, but adding pulleys to that combo dropped me right to a 14.6 at 94.89mph which is one heck of a bang for the buck.

Those times aren't bad when you consider you knocked almost .5 off of your previous best. I was also one who thought that your mods would have dropped you into the 14's, but you said it was humid and you did not ice down your car. On a cool, humidity free night, I can always feel a difference in how my car pulls. And, the times I have been to the track, I have found letting your car cool all the way down untill it is just warm to the touch and placing a bag of ice over the intake can net you around .15 sec. fairly easy. Keep on practicing ways to launch, but your 60' are pretty good for street tires and an automatic. Good luck!
