its is a bit tight. i had to give mine a little tap with a hammer. a little bit of oil on there should help it slide.

ok, fixed! FYI if anyone runs into this kind of problem, get out the dremel and slowly, carefully evenly and patiently grind away at the inside of the cam gear do a little at a time and keep trying to slide it on to the crankshaft until it goes on.... wallaaah done! this post is now closed :SNSign:

I bought the Edelbrock one and I noticed that it would just easily bind, so I had to tap one side then the other over and over while doing the same with the cam sprocket to get it on.

When you run into those kind things .......................

Emery cloth and a bit of oil will take the burrs off the edges of new parts.

Be sure to clean off the gritty junk ... real good

When you go on with the new parts ....................

Antiseize is a pretty good choice of slick-um
