I WAS going to be out at SB tonight but I got a call at 3am from my friend and apparently she wants me to come over, cook me dinner, and get drunk. Can't turn down a home cooked meal from a gorgeous woman especially when she wants to get drunk afterwards. Heh, it looks to be a good night. Peace.

Well, I got home earlier than I thought and decided to go to Starbucks. There was no one there. I think it was the one you guys were talking about by Red Robin. Did everyone leave early. I went by there around 10:45-ish.

I think we need to clarify this for everyone that is new to town. We don't actually meet at Starbucks anymore. We meet in the Wells Fargo bank parking lot, in the same giant lot as Starbucks, Freds, etc. The bank is located right off of Farmington Road, just west of Highway 217, in the greater Fred Meyer parking lot, across from the Beaverton Police station.

Duner: I propose a sticky that clearly identifies the locations of the Wells Fargo Bank, as well as the Dairy Queen meet locations. Too many people, especially those new to town, fall victim to vague directions from other stangnet members. What do you think?

lol just cuz i give bear mins to directions. i knew where she went. most people that head to the correct SB usually see us by the bank. unless theres not very many of us or xspeed out numbers us

IF people head to the correct starbucks, you are right, they usually find us. It just sucks to have people waste time driving, only to realize there is nobody there. In suburbia, using franchizes as landmarks is a recipe for disaster. For instance, if you say that we are meeting at the Starbucks near Red Robin, you could be talking about either Tanasbourne or Canyon Road. Or, my personal favorite, telling people to head to the Dairy Queen on Farmington Road. There happen to be two of those restaurants on the same road. People usually don't know about the one further from 217, which is the one we go to. I just hate to see people from Vancouver, Clackamas, etc. drive all the way out here, only to miss a meet.

true true. you sound so sophisticated onilne and so different when were in person lol. makes me contemplate how i should apear online to others who dont know me. then i realize that im a really bad speller and thats is why i dont use the larger and harder words to spell.

Create the thread and I'll make it a sticky.

I made a page that has a map, and I'm putting in code to make it present driving directions as well. It marks the exact spot on the map where we meet.
