New to Ford..

Hi guys just wanted to say hi.. Going to but a 90 gt 5 spd tomorrow and just wanted so general info. The car has a rebuilt motor and trans 30k ago. Enigine is stock with a E can headers h pipe and flowmaster exhaust. I know this is not a ton of mods but how quick will the car be with the E cam. I know stock the car is 225hp and 300 tqr. Never owned a Ford before so any ifo will help. Still a DSM guy and was a GM guy,Sorry.. LOL Thank you Mike

Welcome! Its hard to say what type of power you will see but I know this, you will get hooked

Typically we dont go by FWHP just because a majority of us get our cars dynoed, thus going with RWHP numbers. On a stock well running and non worn 5.0 expect to see around 185 HP give or take and 260 tq. With your mods maybe add about 15 at the wheels. Its a good start!

And if you want info on the car and performance I suggest doing a good search of this forum. There is SEVERAL guys with a WEALTH of knowledge that post here daily.

you should pretty easily brake the 200rwhp mark with the few mods you have. honestly though, that e cam is a little much for a completely stock motor. does it have gears? you should easily hit low 14's, high 13's if you can drive at all.

Former DSMer and EVO owner here also. DSM's/Evo's and Fox mustangs seem to be what I like the most, I miss my EVO, miss the my 350whp Eclipse, but am loving my newly acquired 93 GT vert. right now. I'll definitely have another EVO some time though.
