New to the 2005 forums...need rim advice!!!

Hey guys, I usually hang out in the 5.0 forums, but my wife and I have added another pony to the garage. We have recently purchased a 2005 sonic blue gt. I am now looking at some new rims for the car.

I am interested in knowing the correct backspacing that I need for the car. If anyone can help me out, I'd appreciate it.

i think the least backspacing your gonna get away with is +35mm, i could be wrong but from what i see browsing these forums, 40-45mm is average.

I agree! I am running 34 up front and 45 in the rear as well. 20x8.5 and 20x10 rears

That's right, your car came with a +45mm offset. If you stay with that offset, you'll be able to get as much as a 305mm tire on the car without sticking out.
