I would consider a hoop replacement, it is just a round tube and weld your rad brackets on and air dam tabs. Mine is mangeled from curb dammage and may do the hoop at some point. Or they sell a core support replacement. Depending how handy you are. Looks like someone took a cut off wheel to yours.

I just fond this thread.
With over 600 views in 10 days, over the holidays when most people are spending time with family rather than internet-ing, I'd say you have plenty of interest, so, not boring.
I have no experience with the issues you are facing, but would enjoy following along as you sort through them.
But really, tell us more about that pick up. .

Yeah, and I certainly don't run from one thread to the next deleting content. That's not what I do here.

This is a forum, not a chat room. I think a lot of the younger folks miss that piece. It's the age of facebook and instant gratification.

Here, it's a little bit different. Folks share their projects with other folks who are interested in the same things. Others ask for questions and how-to. When something specific comes up say...

"My left blinker comes on every time I hit the brake pedal", then you create a descriptive thread title, a well thought out explanation of the situation, then let it simmer a while until some folks with experience with that type of issue come along.

Because it's not facebook, I would expect no less. Who needs a large quantity of useless responses to a technical question?

You'll find a helper. Give it time or.... Google it. Whichever works for ya. There's not much about a Fox body that hasn't been talked about before in this, and in other forums.

In here, you get to know specific people who have specific expertise in different areas. The more you get to know the forum, the better you become at knowing who to ask or alert to your thread.

What's the deal with this? It's the same on both sides. I plan on just welding it up but is there a cause and upgrade anyone knows about or is it just a result of the front end damage bc I don't see how it could be related?

If any ever felt dissed... The Fox Mustang 5.0 was designed to do one thing, stomp Trans-Am's, Formulas, Z28's and even Vetts at the 1/4 and flood the market doing so with an unbelievable entry price. That it did well. Slicks and gears it was a mid-low 13 second car... throw on exhaust and control arms and you just might clock off a 12.999... do the same to the GM crowd and gather rear end parts in a pail... and they just couldn't run the times.
To make an even comparison to BMW look to the 92 BMW M3, which, back in the day my Boss owned. It was simply an awesome car with performance "numbers" in a straight line comparable to the 5.0. I drove the thing on multiple occasions, and it was a marvel, no two ways about it. Pure delight to drive, however, with 20 more HP than the 5.0 and a poo tonne less TQ it totally lacked the punch the 5.0 had. That little M3 would go, but goodness you had to wring the living heck out of it to do so. The 5.0 as we all know would boil the tires from a lazy roll in second gear... the punch was no contest, and simply driving the two around town the M3 felt lazy whereas the 5.0 would kick its tail out and run at will... that's what it was made to do.
The M3 was a tonne more car in every other aspect... but, for my tastes, give me the 5.0 every time.
I have no reservations as to what the Fox mustang is, and was meant to be, and to get hurt comparing it to any more expensive highly refined piece of machinery is silly... no contest, was never meant to be... just was not the intent of the car... until the current Mustangs...

Sorry for my miscellaneous ramblings.

OP has been bashing the Fox over Honda's abd BMWs since he first posted. If he wants to go back to them let him. The Fox is many things to many people, but not everyone can appreciate them.

Please quote me where I "bashed" foxbodies in any way. I like to back up what I say with facts. In fact, I clearly said that I've always wanted a 90 fox. This is the exact car my mom was driving when she went to the hospital to have me. The truck I have is the same as the one she rode around in before I was born. My dad had several of these two bodies thru out my life and I've always loved both and wanted one of each and vowed that when I got the right ones I would never let them go. I also clearly stated that I would never get rid of this car.

Ahhh the old throw hp into a squeaky box approach. I often imagine that riding a shopping cart down a steep hill is just as enjoyable. I agree with everything fxmusnglvr just said. At the very least get the current engine and all the other little things straight before throwing a stroker in there.

And like this is why I said how I felt. Do you ever say anything beneficial or just instigate and try to make people look ignorant?

Why are you taking a jab at me? I didn't diss you. The taco joke is an inside joke on this site that's meant to derail a thread. I'm trying to derail the attitude that's going on.

Take a sand blaster to all that rust, weld in some new 18 ga metal, etch primer it, filler prime, sealer and then paint the car.

I have only tried to help you. Things are slow on this site due to the holidays. Look at others builds and you'll see that most people here like 1/4 mile racing and steet muscle cars. Very little corner carvers here. You'll know who is helpful and interested because we will follow what you do and try to help the best we can when you ask for it.

Be kind to others or you will get run out of here. Good luck.
