So, with my rebuild project, I've found myself gravitating to certain tools to make my life a little easier as well as trying to produce a more professional result. The one tool that I have found makes my life so much easier is the step bit:

I don't know how I ever lived without it. Gone are the days of switching 6 different bit sizes to get the size hole I need. I just bought some cheap ones from Harbor Freight, but man, they drill fast and haven't dulled out yet.

We all buy certain tools to do certain jobs like welders for welding and saws for cutting, but what are some tools that you have purchased to replace other tools that do the job so much better?

It sounds really simple, but the ratcheting multi-size wrenches. I have two that cover a total of 8 wrench sizes, you can basically pull apart or put together a lot of simple things without having a pile of sockets and wrenches next to your work space.
