:OT: just a bit, but what did you all (99+) run stock (or close to stock) in the 1/8th
My best run completely stock down to a paper filter was:
R/T: 0.581
60': 2.137
330': 5.965
1/8 mile: 9.073@78.420 MPH
1000': 11.738
1/4 mile: 13.995@99.740 MPH

With just the addition of an o/r X pipe (before magnapacks) I ran a best of:
R/T: 0.138
60': 2.169
330': 5.957
1/8 mile: 9.036@80.160 MPH
1000': 11.674
1/4 mile: 13.909@100.730 MPH

Those times do seem a little slow for your mods. I ran the time below with just the mods in the sig, ran 4 other 8.7s that day also.

I honestly think that the heavy wheels and tires are hurting a little (.1 to .2). Many will say othetwise but I took my car to the track with heavy aftermarket wheels and tires before and could only pull off 8.9s with the same mods.

That's about a 13.7 -13.8 1/4. That is slow for a geared, modded GT. I was 13.5 with less than that.

Well I need a tune bad too, and suspension...my car's not running right, and it's idling really funny. So once I get this stuff fixed, I'll head back to the track.

lol-you need a tune- ha, all you kids and your tunes on n/a half-modded 4.6s, go read a book or something.

ps. you idle is probably messed up because of that halfassed mod of a mass air meter

I bought all of the C&L stuff, got a good deal on all of it. And I was barely shifting into fourth going across the line. I had a lot of traction problems, which I know I need to work on. I think a tune would be worth while when I get the predator, why not? If not please tell me why, because that would save me a lot of money. Should I just use the base tune in the predator and advance the timing as needed? Also can someone explain further about the IAC issue. I know I should know what this is because I am not a newbie, but my car is in the shop with a messed up tranny, so I can't look at it and compare. Also does anyone know of any rebuild kits that would make my tranny stronger, maybe from tremec or something? Thanks guys

hey dragginuts....

When you get your car back, take your mass air meter and swap the stocker back in. I think this may solve your idling issues. A buddy of mine has almost the same mods as you and it idled like crap. Sure enough, it was the MAF. Now, it runs as smooth as mine with his stock MAF back on. Something has to be wrong if you need a tune now.

btw... how many miles is on your car?

ok you dont need to shift into 4th in the 1/8 with your gear unless you have 24" tall tires on your car, which you dont. put the stock maf back on and reset the computer and see if that solves your problem. Next time you run the 1/8 let the car hit the limiter through the traps if you need to, which you wont im sure.

Ok thanks a lot guys, can anyone still let me in about the IAC? I still have no clue what I'm looking at...I want to clean it even if this doesnt solve my problem. I had the stock MAF in not even three weeks ago, and it actually idles better now than it did then.
