Hey guys, i got some new wheels a couple months ago and i figured id post some pics, they are anthracite fr500s, 17x9 w/275/35 up front and 17x10.5 w/315/35 out back.
Looks nice man. I too stuck with 17's not only because the 10th anniversary cobras on come in 17's, but the tires are so much cheaper! 18's look nice, but I just couldnt justify the cost (Im kind of a cheap ass).
thanks man, yeah i was torn between 18 black chrome saleens and the 17 anthracite fr500. the deciding factor was the tire prices and the fact that 315's look freakin mean from the rear. i still might get a set of 18 black chrome saleens tho. depends on how my saleen kit looks with these wheels. do you have some pics of your car?
I havent taken the time to clean the car up for any nice pictures, but snapped a couple in my driveway when I first put the wheels on.
I was going to lower it more for a nicer looking stance, but the roads around me so horrible I constantly bottom out the way it sits. I dont need to be slashing the rear 315's constantly. After looking at these pics, can you believe the cops around here bothered me for my tint on the front windows? You can see right through it so easily. It came on the car, but Ill be taking it off now to avoid further hassle.
Nice looking car man, i love that blue. how much is your car lowered now? i hear ya about the crappy roads. i only have the pro-kit springs on my car and i scrape everywhere. you must have some real prick cops where your from. its like your windows arent even tinted. i havent been stopped yet for my tint, but i imagine its only a matter of time. its kinda hard for me to see out my windows at night. your clear corner lights look nice too. im still debating if i want to get clears for mine or not. idk if it will look right being white
Thanks for compliment. I like the color too. I think clears would look great on your white. Smoke would stand out way too much, and the stockers get all yellow over time. I run the BBK lowering springs, so its only about a 1 1/2" drop I think. The cops in my little suburb are widely known for being *******s, but Ive lived here for almost two years and never had a problem until 3 weeks ago or so. I was joking with a friend about it, and then bam, got hit with two tickets in a week. Totally jinxed myself. When I bought the wheels, I had a bad problem with going through tires, hence why I was cool with 17's. Now Ive changed my tune a little, cause I feel like my neck is out there now.
