I just bought a set of Boyd Coddington Smoothie IIs for the stang. What kind of wheels weights does everyone use. I can't handle the thought of some guy pounding the standard weights on these things with a hammer. HELP!!
with the newer rims they you stick on weights that go on inside of the rim behind the spokes. Heres a pick of mine you can't even see the weights. They are in the back area behind the spokes.
Stick ons...any decent tire/wheel shop ought to know better than to try and put outside weights on styled wheels.
You've got to give us pics of the BCs!!!!

No definitely do not let anyone pound clip weights on.....I work at Discount Tire and the best balance you can do is an Alloy II balance on your wheels. That's what I did on mine. They put tape weights on opposite sides on the inside of your rim. It is a big pain in the ass to do this kind of balance but it's really worth it......and with Boyd Coddingtons, I wouldn't get anything less....
try and find a place that uses a hunter gsp9700 type balancer. its a full road force balancer. i use one at school and it does a really good job at balancing wheels. plus it supports hiding the weights behind spokes. go to www.gsp9700.com to find a shop in your area with one. it is so worth it.
