i got what chris rock calls a crack head special. depending on what time you get up, you could get anything for what ever you have in your pocket.

This kid that lives next to my buddy had these wheels sitting out in front of his house ready to go on his v6 mustang. But he was desperate for cash, so i offered him 25bucks for these rims and tires. they are off of the 96 gt. They are 17inch. tires are good enought to do some burn outs with before i put on my good tires. I am going to sand blast them and repaint them silver. i am going to fix all the scratches and such too. My buddy said that you could use some bondo to fix in the scratches. has anyone tried filling them with welds. My buddy has a welder that will weld alluminum, i am just scared of heating them up in the wrong way. what do you guys think.

Yeah I guess so...pics would help I suppose.

How deep are the scratches you speak of?

Anyone else thinking of saying no to bondo-ing wheels???? I dunno, I seem to think the wheels will flex too much and bondo go buh-bye.

If your friend has a TIG setup I think that would be ideal. That way you don't get as big/sloppy of welds as you would with a mig. Personally I don't see anything wrong with that idea. Maybe someone else will see different.

I wish I could find a nice set of those for my GT. I would then get rid of my cobras...every time I find a set in nice shape, the person wants way too much for them.
