I just got my new XCal 3 from Doug at Bamachips and all I can say is wow!! I have never had a car respond so well to just a tune. This has to be the best mod you could do to our cars besides gears or a supercharger. Doug your tunes are the best. It feels like I have dropped a stroker motor under the hood and the shifts on the automatic are perfect. If anyone called them a slush box they need to drive my car with Dougs tune. Thanks again Doug you are the best!!!!:nice:

Yep, Xcal3....Doug just started shipping them this week. I just looked on SCT's website, and can't find them there. They have a bigger display and more memory than an Xcal2, on device data logging, and I believe two analog inputs for widebands and what not. Doug does have them on his website.

Interesting.....the Xcal2 is always the same price, everywhere, and I believe the Livewire was too. Yet Doug has the X3 for $20 less than the link that Bigcat posted. Maybe SCT is relaxing their pricing policies?

The Livewire looked interesting. It's sad that SCT couldn't get its issues corrected in a timely manner. I really liked the multiple gauge funtion. Guess I'll probably just end up getting a Dashhawk.

The Livewire is still being sold. The XCal3 is not a replacement for that, it's a replacement for the XCal2. It's just the new version with a few new goodies. The few people I know with the Livewire haven't had any trouble. I think SCT just screwed up on the pricing. While I'd love to have some of those functions, it's not worth the $200 difference. I can get another mod for that.

I just used the Xcal3 on my 06 V6. it was easy and made a big difference! However should I just clear OBS and valve body warning lights that came on after I installed the tune?

I'm glad to see he got the bugs worked out. I originally bought the combo about a month and a half ago and he told me he'd rather ship me the Xcal2 with a color matched intake tube at no charge because the 3 was still under development from SCT. They could not address some of the questions he had at the time to ship them safely to a consumer. Sucks about the timing on my part but kudos to Doug for honesty and great customer support.

After I installed my tune, 2 warning lights appeared. One was for the onboard diagnostics system (OBS) and the other was for the electronic throttle body. My owner’s manual directs me to have the dealer check them at the first opportunity. I have two questions. Have these two lights appeared because of the tune? Should I just go ahead and clear them?

I would clear them and see if they come back. If they don't then you're fine if they do reinstall the stock setup clear everything and see if they stay off. If they don't you might have to call your tuner and tell them what's going on.
