I got what I think is a good deal. Older gent was trying to lighten his load and getting his affairs in order gave me a deal on a 65 mustang coupe last monday. I was not in the market for a ford or any car, it just happened. The car looks great has a couple of rust issues (passager flooor a6X6 area and rt rear fender 3" in diamiter under the car.) The car was for sale 2 years ago for 9K but monday it was sold to me for 4K. Starts a little rough, carb may need to be clean or just used more regularly. interior has a tear in the divers seat, the rest is in great condition. Power steering has a leak but I think its an O-ring by the pulley. It has a straight 6 I just don't know if its a 170 or a 200. How can I tell? the rear is a little low how should I raise it?
All will be sorted out sooner rather then later. Ive never own an older american car. Ive owned quite a few VW bugs, things, and a buses.
I really love this car. steering with my pinky is new and the long hood on such a small car.
I'd like to get the car to the point it can be my daily driver.
