thanks for all the info. maybe i will s/c instead. but ive heard of too many who have reliability issues w/ a stock engine. which parts will i need to add/upgrade in order to run a s/c safely for a good 5-10 years? i know i will do a bullitt intake and new cam, but how are the cams measured? and what else do i NEED to build a strong reliable engine w/ a s/c? thanks

Would take some time to explain how cams work so here is a little link that might help you. By the way, there is a LOT of great information on that website.

300RWHP n/a........unless I'm mistaken, that's not very hard to do. A little expensive in the $ per HP, but it would be cool.

You shouldn't need to touch the bottom end. I would say a Fox Lake intake, mild cams, longtubes, pulleys, and an O/R X-pipe topped off with a good tune would take you to 300+ n/a. Since a custom tune would be involved, a new MAF probably wouldn't hurt.

BTW - Anyone know how high you could (safely) rev forged N/A engine?
