Newbie introduction and a couple of questions.

My name's Daniel and have lurked here before and am just posting for the first time.

I have an '01 V6 am looking to do some work on it. My driver's side window is off the rear track and I'm trying to figure out how to remove the door panel. Can anyone help me get started on this?

Also, some idiot in the neighborhood ripped of the Mustang from my grill leaving the plastic torn. Are the only mounting hardware for the honeycomb grill the screws on the top; or are there more underneath?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I look forward to getting to know all of you.

the best thing that will help you (or destroy your car) with everything is a Hayes Repair Manual. They describe in detail how to do everything to your car, with pictures. It's great. Unless you know nothing, then you will destroy it. lol.

You just pry around the edge of the handle on the interior door panel, then pull it out and up. this will remove your switches. unplug them and set this aside. then just pry around the door panel and it will pop off.

i have no idea about the honeycomb grill, but you can get a mustang grill delete kit on ebay for about $20, and i personally think it looks a lot better.

Also, as a newbie, you should know now that there is a search button on the top of the page, and if you have a basic question that has been asked over and over (which exhaust, is the ebay CAI just as good as namebrand, etc...) search. There are a lot of people who get mad when you ask those questions over n over (no im not one of them).

Thanks for the reply and the welcome.

I did a search and found nothing specific about the grill'; just a bunch of threads on the grill delete and where to buy them.

I found nothing at all about the door panel.

I appreciate your assistance. I'll try it tomorrow.

Welcome to Stangnet. When taking off the door panel on the armrest area of the door there is a notch, use a screwdriver or something flat to lift this up. MAKE SURE YOU USE A TOWEL or something between the metal and plastic this will ensure you do not scratch your door surface. Then just follow the instructions given by ChrisYellowV6. Good Luck.
