newbie with a q

i just recently bought a 98 gt auto and im still learning so bare with me. i was talking to a fellow stang owner and he said something about certain years were equipped with traction control. im pretty sure i dont have it but i just wanted to make sure. if i do, is there any way to bypass it? thanks for the help.

You do not have traction control, and if you did there would be a button on the bottom of your dash to turn it off.

No traction control in the '98s

thats what i thought. every car that ive ever seen with traction control had a on/off button like u said. he said there was a fuse or something to disable it. guess he was me.

I'm not a 100% sure but I think they started putting that into mustangs in the '99 model year.

Never trust a know-it-all friend. Always come to the Mustang boards and get advice here. You stand a better chance of it being correct.

thats what i figured. this is my first mustang so i still have a lot to learn. ive been driving a bagged 4 cylinder nissan p/u for the past 3 years so this is a whole new ball game. thanks for all the replies though, im looking foward to bothering the hell out of you guys with all my questions u have probably heard a million times.

out with the old....


in with the new...
