Newbie with a question about interior...

I'm new, and not sure if this is the right forum to start this thread? But I have a question, I had bought my 89 convertible a few months ago. It has an interior in it that I haven't seen before. It's red, white and black. White leather seats but the top is black. Is this a common interior? And another thing, I'm not sure if the top was white originally because the last owner said it was replaced. Is there a site where I can put in a vin number and get specs on the car? Thank you for anyone who can help!

Typically white top cars had red or white seats. Black top cars came with black or grey seats. I would go out on a limb and say that the original car had an all red interior and a white top.

I was thinking it had a white top also. It is the Cabernet red exterior...

my black car with a black top has red seats. Its an 88 so that may have been one of the color scheme changes they made year to year.
IMHO you dont want a white top, they are a nightmare to keep clean, stick with the black top.

Lol! Yeah, I'm thinking that's why they changed it to the black top because of the cleaning issues! Another question, the car had been sitting for two years before I bought it, and the owner never washed it, so there are bird crap stains on the top, is there a good cleaner that will remove it? I've heard of RaggTopp, but I was hoping I could just go to Auto Zone or somewhere and get a good cleaner. I'm not too worried about it yet because of it being winter and all, but I thought I'd ask...

I put a new top on my car about 6 or 7 years ago and it stays in a garage so its only ever dusty but as far as cleaning it i use a soft scrub brush and car wash soap. i have some top cleaner made by Blue Magic that i bought at autozone or somewhere but never remember to use it. Im not sure what youd have to do to clean stains out of it. might be SOL.

I was afraid of that. Maybe I'll google it to see how to get bird crap stains out of a top, lol! It makes it look so bad!
