Nice colors you would consider painting your mustang.

HEY!! I can't help I have a crappy digital camera! Just for that ... I'm gonna post a couple more crappy pics. This is what it looks like with less lighting (or in the shade).

that saleen blue is bright atlantic blue. their's a guy in the mustang club i belong to that has that very same saleen vert with balck interior. it looks even better in person and with the sun hitting it.

Seriously.
...

I just did a search on that colour.
It just goes to show lighting is everything.

If you were to show me this car:

or this car:

I would never bother painting my car that colour.
Not to say I don't believe you, I do. It's just amazing how much lighting will make a difference in a photograph.

Do you think it's possible too that maybe when saleen paints a car, they use more coats of clear?

That's another question, does saleen always repaint all of their mustangs that they "enhance" ?

I own the car Joe (Donkey Punch) mentioned, but that's not mine in the picture. I'm thinking the car pictured
*might* be the only S-281E Saleen made in Victory Blue, but it could also be a bright atlantic blue like my car.
The more I look at it, I'm pretty sure it's one of the 2000 model year bright atlantic blue's. Still, very rare,
only 21 Saleens ever made in this color.

I had the car at a video shoot 2 weeks ago, and it almost looked purple under the lights in the hanger. When they
put the blue spot lights on it, it just exploded into bright blue. You tell me :D
Not bad for a 7 year old car with 40K on the clock :D

THAT'S RIGHT!

It's Victory Blue. I remember that on Ebay where I found the pictures of the car.
Victory Blue! I had never heard of it before.
Your car is still really sweet man. I like the Bright Atlantic Blue. I'm a huge fan of any blue so long as it's done right.

It has an E hood which is why I thought that might be it. I have a couple
of pictures of it as well, but they are outside shots and the color looks a little
more greenish than in the picture you posted. I looked long and hard at that car, I
seriously considered selling mine to buy it...

BTW, that car should look nice... it was a $10K option at the time for the custom paint.
Saleen does not repaint all cars. They paint the ground effects that they add to the
car, otherwise the only cars that get more paint would be the custom Saleen colors,
Victory Blue, Berylium Orange, Lizstick Red, Extreme Rainbow, etc...

See I'm glad I talked to you. :D
I honestly do like the Bright Atlantic Blue. I remember seeing the Victory Blue outside but it was a light lighter than the picture I posted on here.
See, if you spent $10G on a painjob, your car would look ridiculous too... which explains all the gloss finish on that thing, it looks insane.

Now Lizstick Red, I'm going to harrass you a bit about this if you know anything here too ;)
I saw a red car on ebay, it was absolutely mint, I mean mint, my favourite red I've ever seen... again, not the same red car I posted on here, but since my pc crash I ended up losing that one too...
how many variations of red did saleen have with their cars?

For red, you could get any of the standard mustang colors. Lizstick Red looks nice in pictures but it's amazing in person, it just jumps out at you.

Here are 2 pictures of the un-numbered 2F2F car that survived the movie...
Trust me, in bright light it glows a lot like the victory blue car...

ask and you shall receive.
I appreciate it man :nice:

That colour is nuts. It's especially noticeable in the 2nd picutre. It just amazes me how deep it looks.
It would pain me to see how much saleen would charge you to just get the paint to colour your car that colour.

i know they're sticklers about the beryllium

Hey Ted, its nice to see you in here! Maybe one of these days I'll get to see the saleen, congrats on the video shoot!

You sold the Fast&Furious car didn't you? I thought I remember seeing that you did.

Will you ever bring the vert down to cecil?

On topic...

My favorite colors are: bright atlantic blue, toyota spectra blue mica (like my wife's MR2 spyder), vette lemans blue, canary yellow pearled, mineral grey, and opal frost to name a few. :)
