donkey_punch said:that saleen blue is bright atlantic blue. their's a guy in the mustang club i belong to that has that very same saleen vert with balck interior. it looks even better in person and with the sun hitting it.

tfalk said:I own the car Joe (Donkey Punch) mentioned, but that's not mine in the picture. I'm thinking the car pictured
*might* be the only S-281E Saleen made in Victory Blue, but it could also be a bright atlantic blue like my car.
The more I look at it, I'm pretty sure it's one of the 2000 model year bright atlantic blue's. Still, very rare,
only 21 Saleens ever made in this color.
I had the car at a video shoot 2 weeks ago, and it almost looked purple under the lights in the hanger. When they
put the blue spot lights on it, it just exploded into bright blue. You tell me![]()
Not bad for a 7 year old car with 40K on the clock![]()
tfalk said:It has an E hood which is why I thought that might be it. I have a couple
of pictures of it as well, but they are outside shots and the color looks a little
more greenish than in the picture you posted. I looked long and hard at that car, I
seriously considered selling mine to buy it...
BTW, that car should look nice... it was a $10K option at the time for the custom paint.
Saleen does not repaint all cars. They paint the ground effects that they add to the
car, otherwise the only cars that get more paint would be the custom Saleen colors,
Victory Blue, Berylium Orange, Lizstick Red, Extreme Rainbow, etc...

tfalk said:For red, you could get any of the standard mustang colors. Lizstick Red looks nice in pictures but it's amazing in person, it just jumps out at you.
Here are 2 pictures of the un-numbered 2F2F car that survived the movie...
Trust me, in bright light it glows a lot like the victory blue car...
