Nice colors you would consider painting your mustang.

Paul, I didn't own the 2F2F car, a friend of mine in VA bought it on Ebay a few years ago. He just sold it a couple of weeks ago. I had the blue car at Cecil a few years ago, 13.19 at 107 was the best I could get out of it on street tires. Not bad for a 3900 pound vert with my fat ass in it

BTW, I looked in your profile, nice car!

I've had and sold:

1983 Capri RS Black Magic (shoulda kept that one!)
1999 Laser Red GT Convertible
1986 Saleen Hatchback white/blue #122 - sold last year (shoulda kept that one too!)

Currently have:

1999 Bright Atlantic Blue S-281 #122
Factory Five Daytona Coupe I'm building.

Paul, didn't I have the 99 with me when I met you at Mike's house? Wasn't that the year
of the MCA at Fairfax? If so, I had the 99 on that trip. Then again, with all the rain that year,
it might have been back at the hotel safe and dry in the trailer

For red, you could get any of the standard mustang colors. Lizstick Red looks nice in pictures but it's amazing in person, it just jumps out at you.

Here are 2 pictures of the un-numbered 2F2F car that survived the movie...
Trust me, in bright light it glows a lot like the victory blue car...

What color is that? Lizstick Red your saying? Looks so nice like a deep red with lotsa metallic? its hard to tell in the pic...
Man that looks so awesome deff the color im gonna paint my car when the time comes or at least somthing like that

Thanks! with a car resume like yours, that is a huge compliment.

So you've had your fair share of mustangs then it would seem.
I'm always afraid as soon as I buy a saleen, I'll get addicted to them and never buy anything else.

the 03-04s are probably my all time favourite stang. I dunno why.

I think it's just because they take an already good looking car and add small accents to bring out that menacing street demon quality the mustang always wanted to be.
Now performance wise, you'll see that the 03-04 cobra is by far the fan favourite, and for good reason too... but there's nothing drastically done to the 03-04 cobras that make it seem like it will rip your face off standing still.
The front bumper is nice, but it's still simple compared to the saleen.

I'm not always interested in getting the fastest car on the road either. It's just not my style. Not to say I don't like speed, but I've come to accept there will always be some bastard faster than me.

For me, the saleen is VISUALLY, all the 99-04 mustangs wanted to be.

For me, it was wanting a mustang that is different from the others. For me, the Saleens always had
a mystique about them. In reality, most of them don't live up to it, but that's another long story.
I wanted one from the first time I saw the silver 99 press car. It took me 2 years to find what I really
wanted which was a bright atlantic blue convertible. For me, it's a fun cruiser, it's a head turner and
it pretty much does what I ask it to. There are always faster cars, better handling cars, etc, so as
long as you understand what it is, it's an enjoyable car.

I really think that the saleen body kit looks nasty on our bubble cars but good on the newer models.
