auburn, Wa
just found this site a couple days ago. I have a 95 GT 5speed. I just got done installing the trickflow h/c/i kit from summit. my car barelley runs. should it be able to run with the stock stuff or should I plan on keeping it parked till I get the tb and maf. I see alot of peaple with 70mmtb and 75mmmaf is this going to be the right combo for my set up? I had a guy tell me the stock injectors and fuel pump should handle this stuff is that true? I dont know alot about cars I had a friend help me he knows quit a bit but i think hes out of ideas. any advice would be appreciated.

Assuming the install was done properly and everything is correct, the 94 and 95 were bad years for H/c/i installs. The processers are picky, and without a custom chip (and sometimes with one as well, especially mail order stuff) they are stubborn when parts are added or changed. Call Chung at Blue Oval (360)993-1745 and have him burn you a chip, he has a lot of experience with the 94-5 stuff lately. If you are local to Vancouver, come on by and talk to him in person.

If the 94-5 had the same pump as the 87-93 you will probably need a new one. Mine ran out of gas at 52-5300. With the 255 in the tank it pulls to 6000+.
While youre at BO / AFP ask Jeff , or Jeff to put a new pump in for ya.

Welcome to the site.

Well I found a couple things unhhoked. fixed those and the car runs pretty good. set the timing at 12* and it idles at about 1000. It dtill wsntd to die eversometimes at an idle. Talked to blue oval think Ill be gettin a chip in the next few weeks. Cant wait to get it to the track and see what it'll do.

Although a new MAF and TB might help a little at the track, your stockers will get the job done -especially for around-town driving. I would recommend a new fuel pump.

You didn't tell us what cam you put in (TFS 1?)

If you turned the idle screw on your TB, you'll need to recheck and probably reset your throttle position sensor (TPS). That adjustment could affect driveability quite a bit. Also, with TFS heads, proper valve-train geometry is critical; so you need to spend the time to verify. I assume you bought good quality roller rockers because those heads need additional valvetrain stability. Follow the privided TFS instructions -did you check the contact point on the top of your valves to be certain the roller rocker is contacting it on the center?

Ok this new cam is pretty sweet. I can feel a HUGE diff starting at about 3800rpm. it just takes off. The exhuast sounds awsome!!! Now that everything is hooked up right I'm pretty pleased.

If you are in Auburn, Blood's Enterprises can burn your chip or advise you. They are not 200 miles away.

I have an H/C/I, the stock fuel pump was making me run lean. teh stock injectors are not up to code in 5k plus. so I'm shifting at 5000-5100 untill I get a chip to handle my injectors.

I made a pull on a mustang dyno and my motor would not pull past 5k and my plugs are white. that's wehn I put the new pump in.

I bought the h/c/i kit from trick flow so it came with roller rockers 1.6. The cam is the stage 1. I did order bigger injectors 24#. And I am going to order a biigger fuel pump and a regulator. And than get a chip burnt for it. I hadnt heard of bloods yet where are they located? and do they have a dyno? I'm in deep know so i'm going all the way. I got 9mm spark plug wires. new cap and roter, new pcv, new plugs (TFS recommended). I going to recheck the rockers I was told they will need adjusting. So i will check the contact point again at that time. I might make it to PR on wed night to see what she'll do.

Blood Enterprises is in Auburn near the airport. You can look them up. They have a Mustang dyno and they are very knowledgeable Mustang guys, including James Leahy who races a Fox body at the track. Do you have the bigger injectors installed or are you waiting for the whole package (MAF, TB etc.) to arrive before installing all of it?

If I go to the track on Wednesday, I'll give you hand as far as I can. Look for the white over blue two tone Fox body with a cowl hood.

Get everything installed and then see if you need a chip (I don't use one). That cam is not too radical. I am not criticizing Blue Oval, they are simply too far away to be practical for you.

Is that your car in the picture -red, with a black cowl hood?

Mine is not exactly like my avatar anymore. It is still two toned, but the white paint goes down to the trim line now. I plan on going tomorrow. I have some tuning to do and some improved times to run.
