Ok so i'm installing my NX plate kit on my 02 gt and the only problem i'm having is that the damn fuel solenoid is leaking. I have all the fittings in them and the are pretty snug, but its still leaking. Anyone with any ideas, i could use a little help. Thanks:SNSign:
Do not use teflon tape - the little pieces that crumble can break off and make their way into the solenoid. Pick up some teflon paste. Apple it conservatively to the first 2 or 3 threads, you don't want a whole lot squeezing out. Most importantly, tighten everything down properly and DO NOT test the kit out until the teflon paste has cured. Where EXACTLY is the fuel coming from? Is it coming from the inlet hose junction or the outlet hose junction? Make sure you have the 4AN fittings on the right side of the solenoid. If fuel is coming from anywhere but the inlet/outlet junctions then your solenoid has bad seals. ALSO...WARNING...if you use fuel additives be sure and check the ingredients. Methanol, which is a common ingredient in "octane boosters" can destory the seals on the inside of your solenoids. If the seal on your fuel solenoid goes bad, then your engine bay is a potential firebomb. Read the instructions carefully - I had a leak that I was trouble shooting for 2 days - went back and read the instructions again and I had one of the fittings reversed (each side looked the same but one side actually had 1 or 2 more threads than the other).

Yea i knew aboot the teflon. I couldn't piunpoint exactly where the leak was but i'll go back and check to see if i reversed the in/out fittings. Right now i just have the fuel inlet port tapped off until i get it all figured out.
