nitrous questions

what whould be the best way to spray with a 5speed and a WOT switch. Im guessing you would launch, then hit the switch at about 3 grand (or maybe launch with the switch on, but will the switch enguage before the rpms get high enough when u floor it off the line?) also, when u let off to shift to 2nd, will it spray again in 2nd (double shot)? How long does it spray, if it only sprays for a set time, that would take away the danger of blowing it up if u missed a gear wouldnt it, or does the spray last longer? Im considering the bottle for my car and just curious about a few things

get a RPM window switch that will only allow it to be on from 3000 to 6000 rpms and then hook that up in conjunction with the WOT switch , that way you can just drive it and floor it whenever and you wont mess anything up ....

Also, you are thinking "old school" in regards to nitrous activation. With modern systems, you merely "activate" them and they spray depending on programmed conditions depending on the system you have.

Here is the logic that might be used in a particular nitrous system:

1 - Switch is activated.
2 - Start the car in 1 st gear and you floor it.
3 - The TPS sends a signal indicating that car is at WOT (the juice won't spray unless you are at WOT).
4 - Rpms hit 3,000. The window switch then allows the juice to spray.
5 - As you shift into second, the nitrous sprays as long as rpms are above 3,000, otherwise it stops.
6 - On some systems the nitrous computer reads for lean/rich and adds fuel accordingly.
