Electrical No charging from 3G swap

I have recently got the car running and decided to convert the car over to a 3G alt. I did this for 2 reasons, the 2g alt was bad and come on, better output. I ran a 4 gauge cable from the starter relay to the main post on the alt. I connected yellow to yellow and green to green with a fresh plug from the bay. I jumped the middle white wire over to the single wire plug. There is no charging to be seen by the multi meter or the dash gauge. Any ideas? Thanks
 
Agree with upgrading ground wires as well. Also, DO NOT use the info LMR.com posts as it is WRONG. Also do NOT use the old orange/ black wires as it will melt your ignition wire and possibly cause a fire. Here is a link to a stangnet 3g alternator install write up.
