Well at the begining of the year I had my exhaust all custom redone at a shop with a 2.5 inch pipe and dynamax super turbos. I kinda stumbled upon a flowtech X pipe for next to nothing and am going to put it on, I was mostly going for sound but I was wondering if I could expect any sizable gains with the x, Ive been told I will probly lose a bit of low end torque but that does not bother me. Thanks for any help.

Who really knows? Who really needs low end TQ when you have a 5spd anyway? I had a Mac X pipe on one of my old cars and I was pleased both the sound and performance. If you are replacing cats then yes you will see a nice power gain. Don't expect a big change from H to X pipe though (if that is the case).

you dont have cats yet a shop did the exhaust for you? im pretty sure its illegal for any licensed shop to do work on a car without cats. secondly, if u got the exhaust custom done, why didnt you get the balanced mid pipe at the time? Anyways, if you put a balanced mid pipe on, im sure you'll pick up some ponies.

If you're running 2 1/2" staight pipes right now, you won't lose any low end power/torque whatsoever if you put the X pipe on. What you might notice though is a gain in power in the upper rpms. Usually when people notice losses in power and low end torque is when they go from a stock 2 1/4" H pipe with cats and swap in a 2 1/2" no cat system.

Yes you have to remember I live in Canada. Emissions don't mean **** here. I dont even believe the police have emissions equipment here, least of my worries. Yea I'm looking forward to it, prolly book it in a few day, just want to hear how it sounds.

Oh and I didnt have it done when the exhaust was done because my interests in the car were different at the time. At the time of the exhaust rebuild my intentions were to buy fix and sell. Then the bug hit me and here I sit today. Thanks for the info.

I HATED my car when it had straight duals. It would sound "off balance". Just get a midpipe.
