i have been trying to find a mach one chin spoiler for my car. everywhere i check they dont sell them anymore due to ford wanting to work more on its S197 platform. WTF is wrong with them and where can i find a chin spoiler. ever since the 05 came out they act like it is the very first mustang ever made and dont even acknowledge the pre-05 cars anymore...ok enough with the rant, does anyone sell a mach one chin spoiler anymore?

I also had an eye out, and there was a fairly long thread about it not too long ago. A couple folks posted where they got theirs and those places listed them as being out of stock.

I have been trying to see what I can find at the home store to make one. They do look sharp! (expensive piece of plastic though, when you can find them).

i agree, someone should take theres off and make a mold, then start making there own. $6 for plastic and turn around and sell it for 50-60 bucks and u will get rich fairly quickly. if only these big huge companies could think of somehting like this

Hmmmmmm.

That sounds interesting.

If someone fully explains to me how to make a mold and what plastic to use, I'd do it.

And sell them for...45 dollars!

That's just not cool dude....

I looked for one for a while ..... I'm about to break down & buy a Cobra bumper, though. I hate the stock GT/V6 bumpers. I like it w/ the spoiler, though. I agree with the S197 stuff. It's getting rediculous.

BTW, I was just reflecting on my days in McAllen, TX. There's nothing like border shopping!!!

wow, i'm from mcallen. the **** thing about living here is that everyone from mexico and their mom, dog, aunt, brother, sister, grandpa/grandma, 3rd cousin, etc come over to shop. that's a lot of foken people--hard to find parking, hehe.

this chin spoiler crap sucks. i, too, have been looking for one for the past month and havn't had any luck finding one. i wonder how much different the 99+ chin spoiler would be and how difficult it would be to fit it to our bumpers.

seriously, you'd think that the new sn197 is the first and only sports coupe out there. foken ford corporate bastards trying to satisfy the new buyers and forgetting about the previous ones.

I bet Allan (5.0 tech guy who makes one-off stuff for members) could whip something up and get it produced. If I could remember his username I would PM him about it.

My bad - I spelled his name wrong. Here he is. And here is his website. IIRC, he has done some work for Dave (Mansonozz) and others (I dont read Talk too much, so I miss lots of related posts).
