Yes, there will be control arms. I would not remove stock sway bars from a stock suspension. :nonono:
 
Mine broke coouple years ago and before I replaced it, I drove between here and Phoenix a few times, man it was scary, especially when I hit a bridge, the bump would get the rear end all floaty.

But how fast were you going? That could have something to do with it too. :shrug:
