I bought the car a little over a year ago,The car originally had for a better word a 302 cobra setup
in the car.Now I am just about ready to fire up my
new 347 crate and noticed that there is no spout
plug in place so initial timing can be set but was
worried on how the car will/did run without the
spout plugged in.

if your gonna be driving it with no spout i would run around 25 degrees timing

you could use a paperclip to jump the two wires together and itll act like the spout is back in and you can run it at the normal 10-14

The car will run fine up to a point. All you will be doing is locking out the timing adjustment. IMO, unless this is a track only car, this is a waste.

If I were you, I'd head to a junkyard and pull out a spout from another engine. I believe the search function could find you other models besides stangs that also used the same connector. Should be pretty easy to replace it.

When I bought my car there was no spout in it. After my PIP sensor went out it took me a while to realize what was going on. I found a new spout and put it back in and ran 10 degrees timing. Ever since then I had detonation problems with it. I'm going to take the spout back out to keep the computer from messing with the timing and run 25 degrees and see how that does.

Some folks rig up a switch to the SPOUT so that they can switch it on and off (like taking it out and putting it back in). If you don't want/need to do that ... just go to a junkyard and scout one out.
