no traction through first and crazy sideways in second

i CAN control it and have no tire spinning on wet streets or ice, sometimes its just more fun to get sideways abit going slow on wet streets. growing up with icy streets for 9 months of the year teaches you how to control a slide pretty good

controlling the car is not an issue. i can do that easily. loosing speed cuz of traction is my problem

actually, what i did in the winter was, start in first and shift at like 1500, then skip right to 3rd and it will bog down then shift at 2000 rpm and go to 5th right away, it will bog bad and won't spin the tires. that was on pure ice and it worked for me with 3.73's

Welcome to the club. My car is useless on the street with my H rated tires. Exactly as you describe, I can't even feel it spinning in first, the tach just redlines instantly, and second goes all squirly as well....there's nothing like looking in your mirror and seeing white smoke and smelling burned rubber when you're doing a brakeless "burnout" haha.
