Noise

Anyone have this problem or know about it? Somewhere in my drivers side wheel well (or near it) I hear metal hitting something, it makes a tick and thud noise. I can also feel it under the floorboard when I drive. I took it to a mechanic and he took off the wheel and didnt notice anythig out of the ordinary. I was thinking it was maybe my bushings or sway bar. ANy suggestions? Thanks guys!

LOL, that might help. Its a 96 GT stock hardtop with 80K Thanks....

I would likly bet on it that you have a failing ball joint. Check that. It will take two people to do the test. but if it sounds like a hammer knocking under there, its the tie rod and ball joint in severe distress.

Two part question: Is it expensive to fix if it is the ball joint and how bad is it to drive on it with it that way? Thanks

The noise isnt as bad after I drive it for a bit.
