I am buying a C&L plenum from a friend for cheap. So, I ordered a 75MM Accufab TB to go along with it. You can see car and mods in sig. Is the free flowing o/r h-pipe going to boost the gains of the TB / plenum combo, or am I wasting my money? Thanks for your answers / opinions....

shameless bump or another question

Has anyone ever painted a C&L plenum??? How hot does it get on top of the lower intake? Do you have to use hi-temp paint? I was thinking of using a chrome spray paint. Will it look close to the Accufab TB or will it peel off and look like chit?

...I can take it. I think.

I wouldn't paint it. It will get hot enough to make the paint peel. The pklenium will give you the gains on it's own. It will work seperatly from the increases you get from an O/R pipe.

Any time you can get the air to go into an engine faster, you will need to get the air out faster as well. Opening up both the intake and exhaustof your car will give you nice gains since the effects of both will complement each other nicely.

The combo works for me. I always end up finishing the 1/4 at 103 MPH with a not the greatest sixty.

I'd buy it but I wouldn't paint it. If you have the time and patience you could polish it and hopefully it would end up looking like the MAC polished elbow.
