Just wanted to let you guys know, thus far on my supercharger install from Kenne Bell has not gone very well. The instructions are VERY poorly written, I have found at least 3 mistakes so far. Very frustrating. I am now to the part where I tighen down a bracket that supports the front of the SC right after the pulley, they made the holes over sized to elliminate stress on the SC they said, but my holes are off about 1/4 inch yet. I think I am going to have to drill out the already oversized holes to make it work with my car.

The instrctions told me to install the new thermastat housing, and they show a picture of one on the parts list. WHen I called them and asked where my housing was, they told me I didn't need it! So why would the stupid instructions say I needed one then?

When installing the supercharger, they tell you to install 2 studs in the rear of the intake manifold bolt locations. I do this. After I get the supercharger in place, the next step in the instructions are to install allen bolts right where they just told me to install the studs! WTH! I have had to remove and re-install the charger about 3x now do to inferrior instructions.

Just wanted to share my exp...

not the first time Ive heard about shoty instructions from KB.

Bull****!!!! you never heard me or Dan whine about them, i can't speak for mike because i wasn't there but my instructions were damn near perfect, the only problem i had was the Sheet metal screws that were supposed to be self tapping but my frame rail made short work of them.

The instuctions for Vortech suck, KB instruction manual is prolly one of the most complete out there

I also found the instructions lacking in clarity for a few of the tasks; but patience and common sense overcame the issues. Both things you mentioned were issues with me too. I think I used different bolts on the snout brace and put the manifold on without putting the rear studs in first. But, like I said above, step back, look at it, use some sense, and you'll get it on. You'll love it once you crank it up too!!!

Well, most the issues have been overcome, I am now just hooking up fuel lines and stuff. Kenne Bell did include a sheet, it says if you think there could be improvements over our current instructions, write them down, if they use them, I get $50.

hehe Think they would owe me about $150 so far :)

sounds rough man, mine went on no problem. The t-stat housing....you don't need it, read the supplement to the instructions, a new hose is included, re-routed, pretty sure the instructions stated that. The support holes.....the instructions tell you the holes may not line up, may have to make some adjustments. Did you try moving the snout bracket around, worked for me. The studs.... only think they shoulda been longer, but I'm not an engineer. If you think you can do better....Kenne Bell includes a flyer offering 50 for an improvemtn to their instructions, you may want to bank on that. Good Luck

Damn dude sorry you're having a hard time.

I bought mine used with no instruction manual and had it on in about 4 hours. One of the easist blower installs I have ever done compared to Vortech and Pro Chargers.

Let me know if you have any questions through pm if you get stumped anywhere.
