Posting for a buddy.. it's a '99 VW v6 turbo passat w/ auto, he was driving it pretty hard today for maybe 2 hours, he said it started to hold the shifts longer and longer.. i thought low on tranny fluid? he kept driving for i dont know how long, and when he parked it in the garage he said smoke started coming from the drivers side rear, and it smelt like clutch burn.
What happened here? Could the tranny have gotten low on fluid and started burning up or what?
He also says that now, when you put the car in gear to start off, it takes a while before it starts to move..
