The verts have double sheet metal in spots and a heavy top and a heavy top motor

The convertibles were notchbacks with the roofs and inner strurctures cut out, then a ton of metal reinforcement was added, plus a conv top and canvas weighs double what a metal roof would weigh. They flex really bad and were built poorly. The 94-04 Mustangs held up 100 times better. I do like seeing stock low mileage verts that are stock and mint!! I love the lines, just hate the luggage rack!!

What's the matter with no third brake light? I think it looks better that way.

Yeah, they really hold up poorly. This pile of crap has over 100,000 miles and just look at it. Pathetic, ain't it? But it doesn't suck nearly as bad as Mansonozz's does.

wythors you have an awesome car but SVT is right... I've put 110,000 on a vert before and it flexed so damn bad you could hear it over train tracks and speed bumps... CREEEEK. The rear window design sux monkey balls.

BUT I must say that I miss that car more than any other I've owned and when not gear banged they'll last a while longer like yours. :flag:

My car has 105,000 and is remarkably squeak-free. In fact, the only real noise complaint I have is on the freeway with the top up there's a little wind noise. This has been the best car I've ever owned, hands down. I've had since 1999 and 30,000 miles. During that time, the only things that I've had to replace because of wear are the wiper motor and blower motor(covered under extended warranty) and the top due to normal wear. I've replaced the brakes twice when I upgraded them at 40k and again last month, but both times they've still had plenty of pad/shoe left. I've done basic tunes, filters and oil changes regularly and it's never let me down. If you take care of it and don't abuse it, there's no reason a 'vert can't stay just as solid as it ever was.
