You should ust go get some early model mounts for a V8. I think you can get the kit for like 75$. I am not totally sure about the price though. When I did my I6 to V8 swap that is what I did. No problems what so ever.

MIMI, have you tried looking on ebay or say a mustang depot type site and looking up those engine and frame mounts to compare to what you have? Just a thought. If I had my comp working right with my camera I would take some pics for you of mine.

I have as a matter of fact, from ebay to misc sites to NPD catalog, and a few others - they all show the same thing as I have

If the C4 has a 164-tooth flywheel, it probably isn't from a Torino. The Torino should havethe same 157-tooth flywheel that the Mustang has. Is the trans "pan fill" or "case fill?" Is it possible you have a truck motor & trans? If the pan is hitting the crossmember, it could be a truck pan. These have a longer sump to hold more oil. Is the drain plug on the side of the pan or on the rear of the sump?

will have to double check if it is pan fill or case fill - and the tranny definitely has the 164 tooth flywheel - the original C4 had 133 (i think, but definitley not 157)- now you have my attention - if i replace the oil pan - could this still work? by the way - i have the pics but i can't figure out how to upload them
