Good day,

My first set of questions:

Has anybody dealt with NTO( OEM Parts & OEM Wheels - Original Equipment Parts from NewTakeOff )? What were your experiences like? Anybody from Canada?

I am looking for a set of 17x8 Bullitt rims for my 2005 GT for it's winter tires. I was looking at NTO for a set of take off rims. The price is really good at $99.00 per rim but I do not understand the $425.00 shipping charge. It is almost cheaper for me to go to Tire Rack - Your performance experts for tires and wheels and buy 4 brand new FRPP 17x8 Bullitt rims at $155.00 per rim as the shipping is only $107.00. After taxes and UPS brokerage fee it is slightly more than the NTO price but I know I won't have to pay another dime. I am not getting that feeling from NTO. I am hoping to hear from NTO as to why their shipping is so high and what other fees may be associated with the rims being shipped to Canada.

shipping for wheels is pretty outrageous. they are a bulky item, and some can weigh quite a lot. i think what they went down in price on the wheels, they made up for in shipping. also not sure how going to canada makes it different, but i'm sure it had some effect on the price.

what i'd recommend is look on like craigslist.com and look at the local classified adds. theres usually a few stock mustang wheel set ups on there for cheap where i live. i'm sure where your from you could find 1 or 2.

this way you can deal with something locally, not have to deal with shipping, and usually haggle with the price.

Locally, there is literally zero 05+ wheels for sale. I have been looking since March. The only ones available are Factory take offs at one of the local dealerships. They are pricey and the parts manager won't deal on the price.

I understand wheels are pricey to ship, however as I said earlier. Tire rack will ship 4 brand new FRPP wheels to me for $107.00 compared to NTO's shipping of $425.00. It is cheaper to buy new from Tire Rack than it is from Take offs from NTO. What makes Tire rack more expensive is that they calculate the taxes and UPS brokerage fee. I have no idea on what I would pay for taxes and brokerage fees from NTO so I am unsure of them.

I have had wheels shipped before, no where near that price. I bought a new one recently from Blue Oval Industries.com
Much, much cheaper than Ford's list or wholesale price. I thinking shipping was about $20. Could be going across the border that's the problem.
Check out Blue Oval.
I just checked New Take Offs site. I have ordered from them before (leather seat covers) with no problems. They are in Indiana and I am in Kentucky. A set of 4 wheels shipped to me would be about $130 for shipping. Must be the destination that's the issue.

NTO

I bought a 17x8 bullet from them it was 135.00 delivered in the US....I guess its just the international shipping that is killing the deal...do you live close to the US border? If so have them sent to a business or Post Office or UPS store and drive down and pick them up....:canada:
