I have a D2AE-CA cleveland block in my garage. It came out of a '73 Montego. I have no idea whether it was the original engine - IMO it probably was. Mine is set up for 2 bolt mains, although my understanding is that the same casting can also be a 4 bolt main and/or you can also convert from 2 to 4 bolts yourself if you want.Jsprint68 said:I found this,
The D2AE-CA block was used as a service replacement for the '71 Boss 351, and for the '72-'74 351 CJ. The differnces are in the pistons used along with the camshafts. The Boss also had specially selected and treated cranks and connecting rods and high strength rod bolts.
