Hello,
thanks for taking the time to read this thread
seriously now.. i have a nitrous works kit that i've been wanting to install for the last 8 months. since the car seems to be finally running right and there are no major leaks i'm finally getting started.
so .. i have several questions.
1.- the kit came with a plate that goes between the egr and intake. if i install it this way. i'll have to buy longer studs (has studs not bolts because it's a trick flow intake) but it will push the plastic tubbing against the strut tower (it's already hitting now) will that affect airflow?
2.- i also have a y-fitting that i could use. the type you screw onto the plastic tubbing itself. which one is better? safer? etc. etc.

3.- i will have a window switch set at 3400 and 5800rpm and a WOt switch. so my idea is to have a switch that i can activate on 2nd gear or 3rd and will only kick in if it's at wot and between the previously mentioned rpms. anything else i should take into consideration or change about this set up?

4.- timing will be set to 10 degrees and sparkplugs will be gapped at 34. i already have 24lbs injectors and bigger maf. i also have a bigger fuel pump. i can't remember what size it is and lost the receipt 199 or 205) i have an a9l computer. anything else i should do before using nx?

Anything else i should or should not do?
will only be using 80hp jets right now.. this gave the guys on mm&ff an increase of 97rwhp and 98tq which is more than plenty for me right now.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, i just don't want to have a backfire and blow something up.

As far as the nozzle in the intake tube it works well for me. I have had the system in the plastic tube also and no problems.
The window switch is an excellent idea and will help in 2 ways. 1 it will keep you from over revvving the engine in case of a missed shift. 2 it will give your car a chance for traction. I currently dont run a window switch and at the track from the starting line try to ease into the gas. This works only sometimes as I will spin excessively. I would run the window switch only without the WOT switch. My 2 cents and others may disagree.
Timing is a hard to say with everyone running different combos. I run and get (ready for the stupid comments) 18 degrees with a 125 shot. I know what everyone is going to say but it works and I have been tweeking my combo for awhile. I would say you are safe to start with 10 degrees and maybe dyno tune for the best timing set. You could buy a msd timing retard control box and have it do the work for you. If it were me thats 1 part I would have purchased. It does require the use of a msd ignition box which I dont have.
Horsepower claims are good and bad. Some will exceed the pill size and most wont. You will be happy with the 80 shot it will feel like your car was a pos after you spray it and go back to running N/A. All I can say is do it and you will love it.
