What do people mean by getting a tune after a big mod? Are you all refering to getting a chip then programmed for all the goodies of mods. Or the stock brain mustangs have can be programed somewhat by able shops.

reasoning behind the Q, money. $400-500 chip/tune of $100-150 tune. I believe these are the prices floating around. I know that most minor mods there is no need for a tune, but like Pi intake, cams heads and most intrenals yes.

you can do both reflash and a chip.
If all you did was add the PI stuff then no. On 99% of the cars the A/F wont change since the parts that you add arent that aggressive. Now if you add the PI stuff and add headers and a set of cams then you almost have to have a tune. Same goes for an aftermarket maf. If you add one you need a tune.

it's good to get a tune when adding the pi stuff just to make sure you are running perfect.
