Right now I have a Catted X pipe (bassani).. and I wonderin' If I switched over to an O/R H would there be a power loss or gain... or about the same??

... Couldnt find anything in the search, everything was based on sound

What's the matter Mike ... not loud enough anymore?? Powerwise you'll probably stay about the same, but it'll be alot louder if that's what you want. Make that change and I might hear you from here when you fire that thing up.

well youll pick up some power but like they said i wouldnt expect anything 5 hp. this will be because youll be flowin more air through your pipes but maybe just a lil bit more tug in the back of the seats but not much. (and of course itll sound better)

H-pipe is loud and sounds better in my opinion. But its been tested/dynoed that a x pipe makes 10 rwhp more than the H-pipe. So you will lose hp, if you don't believe me there was a thread about the h/x-pipe showing you the gains and lose of hp.

I liked my stock H rumble better than my X, but I love the X at WOT more than the rumblings of the H.

Hey man, i have an O/R Bassani X and am having some cats welded in. How does the car sound? Is it still fairly loud and is there alot of rasp? My O/R X-Pipe with my Flows sounds mean, but i gotta make it legal. Any sound clips or pics of your car?

Yeah, Its loud enough... just gettin' tired of these catts bangin' on everything.. And, I've always like the sound of the "H" and flows alittle better, just was always told the "X" has better power....

Dont have any sounds clips.. It does sound really good though, not really raspy at all... and pretty loud.

Well I have a BBK High Flow Catted H-pipe and I love it (deeper than stock, no drone, awesome at wot!). My car has a very unique sound to it with the stock mufflers! I have gotten many compliments on how it sounds. I got the pipe for free so I really can't complain if I didn't gain as much than an x pipe.
