Hey guys, I get a P1443 code thrown off of my 96 Cobra's computer and that points to the emissions control, specifically I know the Purge Valve Seleniod. The Check Engine light comes and goes, but is never off more than a couple of days or so before it comes back on. I ended up going to Ford to replace the seleniod as they were the only ones that had that particular part. I am still getting the same code even after replacement, but the purge valve was gunked up pretty bad that I did replace. What is the next logical thing to look into in this whole system? The purge canister, rubber lines, the valve near the gastank? I'm positive that it's not my gas cap because I've experimented with it, tightening it down a little more or less and got no results. Any imput would be appreciated as this seems to be a common problem.
