Official 2011/2012 College Football thread

It was a hell of a game. After that I pretty much expected them to be ranked in the 3 or 4 spot. I'm not a delusional Boise fan. I expect boise to get jumped by a couple more one loss teams. I suspect there may be a rematch in the big game also.

If Okla St and Stanford lose I'm betting the voters move Bama out of the way for two undefeated teams...if LSU keeps winning. We still have Arkansas and likely Georgia in the SEC Championship game.

I don't want a rematch simply because we beat Bama at their house. Why should they get a second chance? Also we would have to play an extra game and Bama doesn't even win the Western division. I think the voters dropped Bama to 3 just to see if the rematch thing would pan out. My hope is LSU stays unbeaten with any of the other unbeaten top 5's.

I don't want to watch a rematch either. If The last two undefeated teams are LSU and BSU, I can't see voters putting Boise above Alabama. With Boise's strength of schedule they aren't going to get any higher than the number 3 spot (most likely 4 or 5) in the computer polls if Stanford and OK state lose. They would probably need to be ranked 2nd in both human polls to get to #2. Even though I would love to see BSU in the NC game, I strongly doubt it will happen.

For us to get a legit shot we will prob need Stanford and Oklahoma St to get a loss this. Oklahoma has a great team, so I'm hoping for the upset there....And for Stanford, not much of a threat I think Oregon's gonna put it to them this weekend. They have a great team, only lost 1 game this season and go figure it was to LSU. Them boys are playing some great ball this year

NO REMATCH!!!

Yes REMATCH!!! And it could happen  two more weeks and we will find out  You know as well as I do all these BCS National championships are based on who will bring in the most revenue. This game would do it, and the only one standing in the way is Oklahoma State, and come on. If you haven't noticed after that game Bama's playing with there head up there a55. they need to pull it together before they find themselves taking another loss. I think this past weekend was there worst game of the entire season.

I hope there isn't a rematch, but with the fact that everything is based on money, and how huge of a crowd the first Bama/LSU game brought in, I doubt they'll go putting anyone else up against them for the BCSNCG. I kinda hope OK ST wins out, so that it's not even an issue. If OK ST loses, then it's either a rematch with Bama, a rematch with Oregon, or they move someone else up, and everyone is angry (like maybe OU).

 My team sucks either way.

Where's your loyalty to the SEC....But yeah I could understand why some ppl wouldn't want to see a rematch, but I'm all about a good football game. If OK ST wins out, it isn't going to kill me. I'll just have to pull for LSU in the championship game, since we all know the championship will be staying in the SEC anyways. Sure OK ST would have a chance at beating them, just not a good one

Swagger - Victory formation with 1st and goal at the 1 with 5 minutes left in the game.

Yeah we did that. lol Took a knee four times to give the ball back to Ole Miss

3rd and 1 at MISS 26.......Zach Mettenberger rush for 25 yards to the Miss 1 for a 1ST down.
1st and Goal at MISS 1....Timeout LOUISIANA STATE, clock 05:10.
1st and Goal at MISS 1....Team rush for a loss of 3 yards to the Miss 4.
2nd and Goal at MISS 4....Team rush for a loss of 3 yards to the Miss 7.
3rd and Goal at MISS 7....Team rush for a loss of 3 yards to the Miss 10.
4th and Goal at MISS 10...Team rush for a loss of 3 yards to the Miss 13.

Tigers play with their food before eating it.

Hogs 14-0 in 1st quarter. Tigers 41-3 after.

We goin' to the 'ship.

I'd say were looking good for that rematch, but I got this itch there won't be. They going dirty, bumped OK state up to 3rd to more than likely justify that as being the reason why they should play since they haven't played yet. At the minimum though, it will still be a SEC national champion  I'd prefer it to be Bama, but hey you can't win them all. As much as I dislike LSU, you gotta respect a team playing that good of ball. Still pissed that you guys benched your QB for Jefferson, Lee earned that spot in my opinion.

I'm pretty disappointed they didn't put OSU in the BCSNCG, but it is what it is. I'll watch the rematch, but I sure am not too interested in it. I hope to God LSU wins, though, for two reasons... 1. If AL wins, there will be the whole "we won one at home, but lost then, why aren't we champions?" and potentially a split title. 2. I live in Birmingham, and will have to deal with all the arrogant bandwagon fans that live here (and they are the worst of the worst). A person I work with went to Kansas, but, since Kansas sucks, and the person lives here in Bham, they decided to be a bandwagon Bama fan (which is not uncommon). I hate people like that.... No reason to cheer/brag about a team when you didn't go there/have no affiliation, IMO.
