oh yeah, it took it

well....last friday i left california to head off to Oklahoma then to texas. I took my 03 GT and i gotta say....she is a dam trooper. No problems the whole way here, i took her through snow and everything. and i was avaraging about 100-110 miles per hour, i know, thats a lil fast, but i had my radar, the streets were empty, and when i drove through the snow i slowed her down, but what amazed me was driving through Flagstaff, it got to about 15 degrees from what the news told me and i drove through there around 3 am, so it had to be colder. but i gotta say, that car has really impressed the ****zzzzz out of me. I mean, i know she took a ruff beating but you know what....honestly who cares, you buy a car to enjoy, and im enjoying it every bit. Of course when i got to Oklahoma i washed her, and they had a strong under carriage wash so i wasnt worried one bit, then from Oklahoma to Texas down here in SugarLand Houston. So i guess if i have to end with something, for those who baby their car...man let her out...she can really take it. i use to baby her all the time, as far as driving a lil slower than usual, taking it easy on everything, but dude, now when i think of it, and someone says "oh you drive a Stang" imma say indeed you punkass. This is seriously one of the strongest cars ive ever owned. And my parents have a Benz, and they left earlier than my brother and I, and my dad was saying oh, he also had no problems, but i was like, dude, your comparing a 65k car to a car i bought for 12k, LOL, hahaha, and now i cant wait till spring cause imma drive her out here again, and its gonna be so sweet. I really Love my car :D

:stupid: I love this car more than ANY other car I ever had, and I have ben through an Audi S4TT, 3 Porsche 911's, a Ferrari Mondal 8, a couple Vetts and 7 RX-7s and can say this is a better car. The 96 911 Turbo 4 I had was faster but not as comfertable, and the big plus is no $860 monthly payment :) Aside from the 99 FRC C5 I had the Cobra get better mileage than any of them and the cars take a beating and just come back asking for more. I will always be a Mustang owner till I die:nice:

Good to hear that there were no problems! I'm about to take the same exact road trip in reverse (San Antonio to Sacramento), although I may take I-10 to avoid the snow in Flagstaff (315's and snow are a no-go lol)

yeah, i took the 40 (needles) from the 15 when i left cali to Oklahoma, but on the way back i will be taking the 10 all the way back. and as far as the snow and cold. there was a lil snow in flagstaff, but im telling you, it was COLD, we experimented, and when we spit, out spit froze by the time it hit the floor, then most of the snow i hit was through New Mexico, and dude, that was crazy, plus on the way here, when i was coming on the 40 and the 287, there was that 54 car pile up, give or take a couple of cars, but yeah, my gt was just a champ, i mean, it really took a beating, and i helped with the beating and man, she is still living strong.
