I'm using a K&N oil filter bought from Canadian Tire with full synthetic oil. No complaints.

I use WIX Oil fitlers. My personal experiance with oil filters ( and i've changed A LOT of filters ) I would stay away from fram. I've removed some that even with a little presure on the oil filter pliers.. they break open. Same with the formula 1. You can read more about them on that link..

just my .02

Can't go wrong with WIX

I go to any Ford dealership and use the Motorcraft FLA1. No problems with them and my oil stays pretty clean between changes.

Interesting point about the yellow Penzoil filters being FRAMS in disguise. I was at CT 4 months ago looking for a filter for my dad's 1997 3.0 Acura and I was debating over getting the Mastercraft white filter (CT brand $4.95) or upgrading to the green Quaker State which I think was $2 more than the Mastercraft. One of the CT parts guys saw me in my dilemma and came over and told me that I should just take the white Mastercraft filter at $2 less as all the Quaker State filter was, was the white Mastercraft (CT brand) filter painted green and stamped "Quaker State" on the can!

What a ruze!!!!!!
