oil from distributor?

i have a leak looks like its coming from the distributor where it goes in the block. i was told to pop off my dipstick a litttle because i may have bad bearings or something and it should releive the crankcase pressure?

pull the distributor and replace the o-ring on the dist. shaft..can you post pics...

i did replace that shaft seal when i did the motor last week i guess i should have replaced more than just the cam and gaskets? i dont know how to pot pics what would you want if i can figure out how?

perhaps the gasket on the dizzy wasn't quite installed correctly or it moved when you re installed it?

just pop it out and take a peak at the o-ring
