I recently installed a 9 lb. powerdyne on a tired engine. I am leaking oil out of the dipstick tube under boost. I need ideas on how to fix this short of a rebuild. I put a breather at the oil fill. Is there a check valve, or something I can put in the vacuum line to prevent boost from entering the crankcase at the pcv? The other vacuum lines are capped, short of fpr and vacuum tree. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I had the same problem on my pos eagle talon tsi under high boost. i tried air breathers all voer the place but it never stopeed the problem. then i heard to just go to the dealer and buy new gromets for the tube and the top of the dipstick. havnt had a problem since. aparently just liek any gasket once they dry out they leak like sives.

Seems to be a common problem on boosted apps. What happens is, if I'm not mistaken, the boost in the intake manifold can push past a worn PCV valve and go into the crankcase. This extra pressure causes things to pop. You could also have some major blowby ::shrug:: I may be wrong on how the extra pressure gets in the crankcase....but that's what's causing the problem.

suggestions:

Get a turbocoupe pcv valve (it's designed for boost)

Change out your filter that's under the pcv valve.

maybe invest in an oil catcher if you have probs with oil getting into the intake

These things fixed the problem I had with oil blowing out of places.
