I recently installed a 9 lb. powerdyne on a tired engine. I am leaking oil out of the dipstick tube under boost. I need ideas on how to fix this short of a rebuild. I put a breather at the oil fill. Is there a check valve, or something I can put in the vacuum line to prevent boost from entering the crankcase at the pcv? The other vacuum lines are capped, short of fpr and vacuum tree. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Seems to be a common problem on boosted apps. What happens is, if I'm not mistaken, the boost in the intake manifold can push past a worn PCV valve and go into the crankcase. This extra pressure causes things to pop. You could also have some major blowby :: I may be wrong on how the extra pressure gets in the crankcase....but that's what's causing the problem.

suggestions:

Get a turbocoupe pcv valve (it's designed for boost)

Change out your filter that's under the pcv valve.

maybe invest in an oil catcher if you have probs with oil getting into the intake

These things fixed the problem I had with oil blowing out of places.

go to a ford dealership and purchase a super coupe pcv since its a turbo charged car its pcv is made to handle boost better.

Thanks for the quick response. The only other concern I have is the boost getting to the vacuum tree, for the cruise control and such. I guess this really isn't an issue though?
