Oil shooting out of my valve cover breather.

What not having a PCV system cause this? If not, what will.

If you blocked the PCV then yes oil will shoot out of the breather. Do you have one or two breathers?

I dont like breathers, Im could be wrong, but Intuition would tell me that unless you are running a blower you would be losing vaccum pressure, which would cause power loss and drivability problems, no?

If you delete the PCV, then you would not be losing vacuum by running breathers. I've heard it can cause a vacuum leak if you are running the PCV and open breathers.

I've also noticed some kind of fluid in my engine bay that I'm assuming is oil from the breathers. I've seen people put some kind rag around them and Im guessing this is the reason for that....Another solution is to run a different breather setup with a line from the valve cover to a catch can, or use a PCV valve in the valve cover and connect it the upper intake.
