ok im gonna need some help or im going to carb

ok i havea86 gt5 speed i swapped and put the motor out of my 87. in it i reused the upper and lower intakes from the 86 tho. timing is set it cranks but my prob is when u give it gas it revs out at about 4500 and has no horses it also is really jumpy and has a lil popping kinda. if i dont figure this out im gonna go ahead and go to carb because this efi is driving me nutty

sounds like timing is off


did you set the timing correctly by removing the spout?

check the cyl 1 and 2 injector plugs to make sure you didnt cross them

It does sound like the timing is out of whack. If it were me (and it has been me several times, as I seem to screw this up quite often), I would pull the dist. and #1 plug. Go through the entire timing sequence again.

I suppose it could be fuel related, but unless you made major changes to the fuel system, it is most likely just timing.

ok i found out what it is and i am most likely gonna be critisized for it but some how i managed tocrack the lower intake giving me a pretty nice vacume leak u couldnt tell was there at idle or lower rpms
