I just saw, er, actually heard the same one you're talking about. REALLY irritating. It doesnt help that I"m one of those people that will purposely avoid a company with ads I don't like(even if they have something I want). Its not enough to simply get my attention.

I just heard that crap too and checked to see if I accidentally typed a bad word. What was it for? If it was an ad, it obviously does NOT work.

Yeah, it was at the bottom of the page. One of those bogus "do such and such and a win a FREE dohicky" ads.

It got me with my head phones on. It was a bit loud, especially in the middle of a Corr's song.

I'm on the Fast Dial and have no ad problems

At the bottom of the page there's a colored bar, it says "Contact Us - StangNet.com - Archive - Top" on the right hand side in the bar. On the left side there's a pull-down menu, choose any of the setups that say dial in them. They are designed for low bandwidth connections and although they aren't quite as pretty they cut out sounds which take a while to load on dialup.

I have no sound adds. I use the Opera web browser, and has turned off pop-ups.

I thought I was the only one who thought that way. Like the Domino's pizza commercials. They have always pissed me off because they suck so bad. I will not touch a Domino's pizza because of it.
